Wow. If you've not yet watched this interview with Tristan Harris on the recent episode of The Diary Of A CEO - do yourself a favour and listen deeply, and listen well.
I listen to a lot of voices on AI , and Tristan seems to me the only AI voice out there who appears to not only be heavily burdened by the weight of his knowledge, his own experience and the kind of clarity he claims is needed at the top leadership of the world, but someone who is also carrying the burden of doing it as a seemingly lone caring voice, who wants only the best possible outcome.
If we could have individuals like Tristan at the top of leadership, a good and better world would be being build around us as AI evolves.
He appears to be a genuinely caring steward for society, as a whole. Speaks from the heart and sees so clearly the path that should be charted for the greater good. Not against technology but with it, with intention for good, and governance that counters the bad.
If you've beenfeeling increasingly anxious, his invitation is simple:
“Our job is not solve the whole problem, but be part of the collective immune system of humanity against a bad future nobody wants.”
Do yourself a favour, and watch this interview, and of course - share it wide!
Thank you Steven Bartlett for continuing to use your platform to get these messages our there, and bring these kind of open and candid conversations out into the open for all to hear.
